I have been home for a couple of weeks now and have been reflecting on my time in India. I have felt as though I am betwixt two worlds as I settle back into life at home. I am blessed to have had the opportunity of this amazing experience. I have gained so much more than I ever expected, beautiful new friends, a deeper knowledge, soulful memories and a profound sense of calmness. I can't imagine my life without yoga.

Yoga is a deeply personal practice. It is all about you. Bring your attention inward and focus on your body and mind, leaving the outside world behind. Become aware and mindful of what you are feeling in the present moment. Notice the moments of movement and stillness of your body, and the flow of breath within you.
Each person’s journey is their own, it is not for us to assess and critic them or to even judge ourselves in comparison, whether it is positive or negative. When we start the thought process of comparison, it is our ego taking over. Ego has its purpose, but it does not belong in your yoga space. It is natural for our minds to wander, so when this happens gently bring yourself back to the present and refocus. The more you develop this habit within your yoga practice the more it will seep into your daily life, bringing you a greater awareness and calmness.
With a regular yoga practice, you will notice many changes over time that will improve your body and mind. You will increase your flexibility and build strength; and improve your balance and posture. You will notice a decrease in your stress levels and your sleep will improve, you will feel better about yourself which will benefit you in all aspects of your life. These are only some of the benefits. I have noticed these changes and many more with my own practice and that is the main reason I teach – because I want to share how much yoga changes your life for the better. And so I invite you to gift yourself, and find space in your life for yoga. You will not regret it!
Love and laughter always,
Amanda
